How do awards/scholarships work?

Rumble Royale isn’t your ordinary martial arts tournament; it’s a battle for glory, gold, and crowns. We go beyond just medals. Athletes and teams have the chance to earn multiple awards across divisions and events.

Here’s what’s up for grabs:

👑 Crown Awards

Want to rule the ring or the stage? Earn a Crown Award by dominating in forms or fighting.

• Forms Crown: Compete in Freestyle Forms, Weapon Forms, and Traditional Forms. The athlete with the highest combined score across all three (within their age and skill level) takes home the crown.

• Fighter’s Crown: Don’t do forms? No problem. Our featured fighters compete in the Night Show, and the top fighter earns the crown.

• Crown Pins: Black belt division winners in fighting events will also take home exclusive Rumble Royale crown pins.

🥇 Traditional Placement Awards

Of course, we still honor the classics. Every division offers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards. So whether you're just starting or you're a seasoned black belt, there’s something to strive for.

🏅 Team & School Awards

• Legion Award: Goes to the school or team with the most registered competitors.

• Royal Dynasty Award: Awarded to the school or team that earns the most gold medals across the entire tournament.

• (NEW) Valiant Award: Awarded to the school or team that best demonstrates team spirit throughout the tournament. Cheering, signs, sportsmanship, and visible support for teammates.

🥋 Judges’ Performance Picks

Each ring’s judges will select their favorite performance of the competition. Those athletes will be invited to perform at the Nighttime Show, representing their school in front of a live audience and earning a Master Class Scholarship.
